This course is for the professional lifeguard that is looking to expand their knowledge and skills into a waterfront (non-surf) setting.  Participants must take and pass the Lifeguard recertification in conjunction with this course.
The swim requirements for this certification are as follows:
1.  Swim 550 yards continuously demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing.  Candidates may swim using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both but swimming on the back or side is not allowed.  Swim goggles are allowed.
2.  Tred water for 2 mintues using only legs.
3.  Starting in the water, swim about 20 yards using front crawl or breaststroke, surface dive 7-10 feet, retrieve a 10-pound object, return to the surface, swim about 20 yards back to the starting point with the object and exit the water without using a ladder or steps, within a time limit.
3.  Swim 5 yards, submerge and retrieve three dive rings placed 5 yards apart in 4–7 feet of water,  resurface and swim 5 yards to the side of the pool.
